Yesterday we all heard about the utterly ridiculous statement that Missouri Rep. Todd Akin made about rape when he claimed that women can’t possibly get knocked up after a “legitimate” rape because we possess super powers to “shut that whole thing down.” Uh, huh. In this day and age, that is something we thought we’d never hear.
