Teach your child to be thankful for the little and the big things of his every day with a Daily Gratitude Journal. Before going to bed, sit down with your child and ask him what the highlights of his day were.
Talk about the good things that happened that day. What are the things that made him smile? What moments made him happy? Your baby just smeared peanut butter all over himself. Your toddler accidentally knocked over the trash. Your tween used your hair dye to give the dog some color. Your teen has just come home with a pierced nose. Your husband has just come home and is asking what’s for dinner. A single item hasn’t been crossed out in your to-do list. Oh, and you forgot to pay the bills.

Spread The Love
With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, I thought that it might be nice to focus on ideas that inspire parents to spread a little more love and positivity around the home. Being a disciplinarian doesn’t mean you have to be mean. In fact, acting kindly on a regular basis, makes it easier to enforce discipline and create a greater respect for parental authority.
