For a number of years, when the grandchildren were younger, we had an art wall along the stairs. 
It wasn’t finished at that time (the house was in that continued process of being built), so at first my daughter and son-in-law placed Kara’s and Alex’s art from school to cover the sheetrock.  Then it became a treasure gallery.
They even hung some of the art above the stairwell.  At this “gallery,” the children could see their art work, from kindergarten and older.  They felt that what they did at school and brought home was important.  We also posted some of the art projects done …read more
