I know I’ve mentioned many times that fall is my favorite season, so I won’t go on about it too much now, but I just pulled out my fall decorations, and filling up my favorite little candy dish got me to thinking about my favorite fall foods.
One of my all-time favorite foods (if you can really call them that!) are candy corns and candy pumpkins. I’ve loved them so much that for my birthday one year, my best friend got me nothing but little bags of candy corn and pumpkins. I was in heaven, and thought it was a very …read more

I’ve used this recipe for several years and it remains one of our favorites, everyone always asks for seconds! I like to add about half a pound or so of baby carrots to the bottom of the crock pot before …read more
Product Review: Hormel Compleats
You’ve seen that commercial on TV where the boss gives the office just a few minutes for a lunch break and all hell breaks loose as everyone dashes around looking for food? I never paid much attention to it until I realized what it actually was – single serve heat-and-eat meals.
My biggest issue during the day, when no one else is home, is that I don’t bother making myself anything. I hate the thought of hauling stuff out to prepare and dirtying dishes and utensils when it’s just me. I love cooking for my family, but for one person …read more
