I love handmade things, but often find that I don’t know what to do with them at times. After all, some things are just too precious to use. Take these potholders, for instance.
I found these in a thrift store and fell in love with them because they are tatted. My great-grandmother used to tat, so maybe that’s why I was drawn to them.

CHRISTMAS IN JULY
While you’re beginning with your Christmas gift ideas in July, far enough ahead so you won’t be rushed, why not develop some summer quilting projects for your youngsters. They can get a head start on their gift giving preparation, too.
Depending on their age, some can tackle more difficult projects than others. Also, the older, or more adept at sewing youngsters can do more on their own.
