I was curious as a friend recently mentioned one of her children catching another sibling in the bathroom at what age do we stop allowing them to go in with us or even when they are big enough to go in a plublic one on their own. I know it is sometime normally after kindergarten because that’s basically a taboo for Kindergarten. arlier this year we went to a stadium and there would’ve been no way my kids wouldn’t went besides the one I was in, my 12 year old knew and decided not to go until dad had to …read more
A Potty Question: Using the Potty

This category is full of everything from getting kids ready for school to picking out those summer fun activities. So it shouldn’t surprize you that when someone emailed and asked me
My son is 3 years old and refusing use his potty chair. Any recommendations?
My first question would be to ask if something has happened between said child and the toilet? I remember my 3 year old reacting the same way just after she learned to use her new potty, only it tried eating her. Peer pressure rocks.
We logged on to post the Potty Dance on YouTube and do you know how many other people posted their child’s potty training success, techniques or humor? Hundreds. Maybe thousands?

Zack was fascinated.
Peer pressure was also the technique that finally …read more

Potty training would be one of them.
Call me crazy – I’m sure half of you will, but that would be no different than any other day – I’m trying to potty train my 2-year-old son.
For his second birthday we gave him the Potty Training (Baby Signs) and some big boy underwear. The kit has a “choo choo train” theme. Get it? “potty train.” I was more excited than he was.
I realize common parenting advice says not to push it and to “wait till they’re ready,” but …read more
Puppies, Potty Training, and Entrepreneurship.
We don’t have children, but we do have a dog. And I can recall that as I studied puppy house breaking methods, some of the language used gave me the impression that there might be similarities in potty training a human child.
Likewise, I noticed that some of the puppy language reminds me of how my business first began to develop, another form of child rearing.
I will use some text, borrowed from typical a puppy training resource, and you judge for yourself where you are able to see correlations: potty-training or new business.
It’s normal for a young puppy to be a …read more
