My daughter and I had a conversation about April Fools jokes or pranks. We had very different opinions. I think that this stems from the difference in our ages and our life experiences.

Just call me the ultimate April Fool. Why? Because this day is the one where I lose all my common sense and powers of deduction. I have to admit: I hate this day.
For example, a few years ago I was working in the marketing department of one Milwaukee firm, and as per my usual habit was browsing through the online local stories. Normally, Valentine’s Day is celebrated in manner that will induce butterflies in the stomach, romantic notions, or elation because it’s the one day in the year when everyone is given license to be as cheesy as they can possibly be. It’s the day of hearts. It’s like a day when you can think that anything can happen in your love life.
