Reading Liz’s post at Successful Blog, I stumbled upon a list that was submitted by American Blogosphere to the Problogger list, which talks about the 5 Reasons To Put Off Living With Your Girlfriend.
Gah. It sounds like a real drag, eh? Can’t help but wonder if it’s true that reasons like nail polish, shaving and wardrobe consultation will really cause a man to think twice before inviting his girlfriend to move in. Hahaha. I reckon it can be highly annoying but it might just happen to be part of the package, right? Isn’t it worth the sacrifice? Teehee.

Teehee.

This dame’s rebuttal to the 5 Reasons:

#5 It beats the smell of a typical guy’s toilet, right?

#4 Will you be whinging about the lack of sleep when the cause of it is that something the two of you do that doesn’t involve a lot of talking?

#3 Do you prefer caressing a leg that’s hairy?

#2 I hope you don’t squirm at her choice for an outfit and say, “are you sure you’re gonna wear that?”

#1 At least, you’ll get to use a clean smelling toilet for a change. [note #5]

[Please don't take me seriously. I'm just playing. Hahaha.]

Apart from the 5 things mentioned in the post, what other reasons can you guys come up with? [I promise not to bash it. Hehehe.]

Let’s make it spicier, what are the things that will cause you women to put off moving in with your boyfriends?

Indeed, this is a pretty interesting topic to talk about.

I recently participated in Darrens’ group writing project with my post 5 Easy Steps to Snag A Date With Me over at Truth + Travesty. And I’ve been looking over the other list submissions and I’d like to highlight a few that are deemed appropriate [to Dating Dames] and, of course, the ones I found entertaining.

First was a quick comparison on married and single life. I learned a thing or two. And it was amusing, too.

Looking through romantic movies that will occupy my single life. That is, if I haven’t watched any of them. I have. And, I don’t think I can sit through Titanic again. Ugh.

If you look through this one, the general idea behind his list on why starting over is a good thing, can be applied to relationships, too. Coolness.

Here’s a good guideline on a gift idea — buying HER lingerie. Well, read up. It helps if you know what you’re doing. It’s hard to just ‘wing it’ when it comes to these things. Hehehe.

And if it’s a European romantic getaway you’re after, then it’s best if you check some tips just to level the expectations.

But if it’s just good food your after, dining out can be as tedious as tedious can get. Learn how to spot a bad resto. I’m sure you’ll appreciate these tips especially when your intentions are to impress your lady love. /coughs

I also came across a good backgrounder for single women who are planning to get marriend. Either we learn to do it on purpose or to avoid it at all cost. Hahaha.

There’s also this bit about reasons for marrying the first AND second time around. Introspection came too late but not late enough to get it right the second time. I’m glad to know that there people who do get married for the right reasons.

Now, for you people who love songs. Either the kind that tells a story about a break up, falling in love, yada, yada, yada. It’s a list of his top heartfelt picks.

Last but certainly not the least, I think this is my favourite, because what can you say about finding love in a blog? I experienced a melting feeling when I read that bit about them marrying 8 hours after their first meeting. Utterly impractical and, not to mention, risky! But I still found it romantic.

Anyway, that’s all I have right now. I hope you’d enjoy the read as much as I did.
