This video of Michelle Obama doing more push-ups than Ellen is the best three minutes of TV I’ve seen this week. In the midst of promoting her “Let’s Move” campaign and discussing her fitness routine, the two decide to go head-to-head in a push-up contest. They’re both in incredible shape, of course, but Michelle won, completing 25 push-ups (and barely seeming winded). It’s probably her workout routine, which she says lasts an hour and half, daily. What Does It Take for You to Do a Push-Up?

When I’m in a fitness class and a trainer tells me to drop and give her 20, I’ll do it (with my knees on my floor and a droopy back, if no one’s looking). But doing push-ups on my own? Fugeddaboudit. I’ll do leg lifts, wall sits, and downward dogs all day long, but I hate to do push-ups.
