“Exercise!” you exclaim. “How do I find time for that. I have a family to care for, a job or quilting deadlines, etc., etc., etc.”
After reading Kendra’s post, The Winter Season Affects Blood Pressure, at A Hearty Life, you may want to take a look at your exercise routine (or lack of) and your diet during the colder months. Do Quilters & Crafters Experience Eating Disorders?
Generally I hear quilters mention that they gain weight because this activity is so sedentary and they don’t make the effort to get the necessary exercise. Or they mention it’s too easy to have a snack handy when you’re involved in your quilting art projects. However, there are artists on the other side of the spectrum who suffer from anorexia and/or bulimia. They find themselves concentrating on not gaining weight, to the extent where it consumes them.
