What projects are you working on while watching the Olympics?  Perhaps you’ve started a project inspired by the Olympics or China.  If you’re like many quilters, you simply can’t sit there.  You must have something you’re doing regarding your quilting art.

I’ll mention 13 possibilities today.  You may be doing something else.  Why not share as Jean and Marijke have?

1. Marijke Durning, of Help My Hurt , says: I’m making a quilt right now. I started piecing it two weekends ago but I’m not quite finished yet. It’s to be for my brother in law who is supposed to be visiting from the west coast at the beginning of October. So, I’d best get moving on it!
2. Jean Murray, of Small Business Boomers, described her hand quilting project in What Quilting Are You Doing During the Olympics.
3. Mixed media collage featuring Olympic events.
4. Mixed media collage based on one sport or one competitor.
5. Fabric postcard with Olympics symbols.
6. Fabric postcard with a scene of China.
7. Wall hanging with Olympic scene against a China background.
8. Quilt or Wall hanging of the Great Wall with Olympic competitors standing on it.
9. Gold, silver and bronze medallions with Olympics scenes or participants on them…the people who won them.
10. Fabric booklet with Olympics scenes.
11. Fabric booklet with scenes of China.
12. A quilt featuring the pandas of China would be a favorite with youngsters.
13. Your own quilting project that you want to finish and find this the perfect time.
