Quotes as Wall Ornament

I spotted this great wall ornament at a local cafe. I’ve got this blank wall in our living room that is begging to be filled with something but I wasn’t keen on hanging another painting. Using quotes framed this way seems perfect for that blank wall of mine

I’ve got blank square canvas boards like this that I can use and decorate myself with quotes. Now all I have to find is a big enough frame to house them all. I could of course, always get one big frame customized for this project.

I have a collection of quotes that I can use but it’s not bad if you use the quote above: “Yesterday was history, Tomorrow is unknown, Today is a gift, that is why we call it the present.” Cool eh?

I like this quote too: “Destiny is not a matter of chance; It is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; It is a thing to be achieved.”
Quote of the Day: The Relationship Between Commitment and Doubt

“The relationship between commitment and doubt is by no means an antagonistic one. Commitment is healthiest when it’s not without doubt but in spite of doubt.” — Rollo May
Fascinating to think about, yeah? I hope this will help you make sense of some things in this whole love and relationships thingie. It sure prodded me to think.
Dating Advice from Babe Ruth

“Don’t let the fear of striking out hold you back.”
— Babe Ruth
And you thought I’m going bonkers, eh? LOL.
If there’s one popular quote from a tremendously popular sports personality, this has got to be it. When it came into mind, I immediately related it to dating, courtship, and the whole love-relationship thing.
Oftentimes, we do want to throw in the towel, huh? Esp when we’ve experienced a lot of rejections and traumatic heartbreaks. No matter how many times you tell yourself that it comes with the territory, you just can’t shake off the feeling that it’s draining. You can’t help but ask yourself this question, “is it all worth it?”
But if you truly believe that you’re meant to find a person you want to spend the rest of your life with, you’ve got to keep at it. Stay in the game. You won’t get anywhere if you keep to yourself, sulking in your room, cursing life for dealing you a bad hand. Or several perhaps. That’s just it, though.
Babe really hit the nail hard on its head on this one. Fear will only paralyze you. It won’t give you your heart’s desire. Just look forward to those priceless moments you would never have experienced had you not dipped your hand in the game.
Dating can be hell. But it can be magical, too.
Serial Monogamy in Dating

“I think serial monogamy says it all.”
— Tracey Ullman
I had to share this quote cuz it almost caused me to fall off my seat. Hilarious.
Just in case the sarcasm is lost on you, here’s a Wiki explanation.
“..attributes like “serial” and “parallel” make sense only when describing multiple relationships, so they cannot logically refer to “monogamy”, which implies only one relationship.”
Get it?
A Quote to Remember

After watching the Greg show earlier today, I realized just how much of a problem the lack of spice in relationships is.
I’m not sure where it originated, but one of the absolute best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard is:
What it took to get them, is what it takes to keep them
Thus the reason it’s SO VERY important to never ever pretend to be something you’re not, going into a relationship.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard or read?
Maharishi Fattifatbastard’s Guide to Zen, er, dating..?

“There are two theories about how to win an argument with a woman. Neither one works.”
I lifted this quote from ma friend Rico over at Fool for Five.
Isn’t it quite apparent that I’m trying to start a gender war here? LOL. Nah. I’m just playing. I just found the quote or, uh, zen teaching(?) equally funny as the last quote I shared to you guys.
Read more of Fattifatbastard’s guide, I suggest you brace yourself for more laughs. Enjoy!

For all you cynics out there, here’s one quote you’ll appreciate me thinks. Teehee.
“Marriage is give and take. You’d better give it to her or she’ll take it anyway.” — Joey Adams
Aw, shucks.
How did the women turn out with a reputation like this?
I hope this made your day a little more brighter.
