Just about all of us have experienced a hoarse voice at one time or another. Whether it’s from shouting too loud at a party or a bad cold, the hoarseness can run from a husky quality to downright annoying. Many times, being hoarse means not being able to work. If you depend on your voice to work, if you can’t talk, you can’t work. This results in lost income for you and likely for your employer.

Breakfast On the Go: Banana Treats

I’m watching Rachel Ray’s 30 Minute Meal as I’m working. Watching the Food Network is one of my favorite weekend morning treats.
Rachel just shared her recipe for a banana breakfast or dessert. She called it Crunchy Monkeys. It’s simply a half banana with a stick stuck in it, spread with a peanut butter and honey mixture that is then sprinkled with granola.
It sounds good, but it got me thinking…. granola is a little hard for little ones and their baby teeth. Couldn’t you do the same thing with another type of cereal? How about Rice Crispies or Honey Nut Cheerios?

I Wish I had Rachel Ray’s Ambition.
I found out that that The Pet Set was mentioned in Rachel’s new magazine. Yay us, right? Somehow, as I always do, I shifted the focus of my little bit of success story away from myself, and in this case, to her success.
Friends and family wished me congratulations, but also seemed compelled to mention that Rachel “is sooo ambitious.”
Let’s see, she started with the whole 30 minute meals show, then added her travel shows, her new magazine, her upcoming chat show, her glorius new husband, great personality…she seems to have everything. How did she do it all?
