Reflexology, the science/art of applying pressure to various spots on your feet to affect the rest of your body, is an alternative health treatment that many people believe in. But now, researchers in Australia are suggesting that reflexology is nothing more than a good foot massage.
Lest people think this is an issue of Big Medicine trying to squash alternative medicine, the researcher was Dr. Edzard Ernst, Director of Complementary Medicine at the Peninsula Medical School in the United Kingdom.

What?!? No More Foot Massages?

So there I was, enjoying a nice foot massage from my hubby at the tail end of mandatory 24-hour bedrest. All of a sudden, he pulled his hands away as if my feet were on fire.
“Honey, gosh. I mean, I’m sure my feet are stinky but you don’t have to be a jerk about it.”
“No no! Isn’t there some sort of acupressure “point of death” around there? I thought you read about it someplace.”
Crap. Did I?
