Compact refrigerators not best green choice

According to Consumer Reports, the trend towards using compact refrigerators to save energy might not really be the best choice. While tall compacts get a better score than short ones, neither are anywhere near as efficient as full sized models for the storage space they provide. Even if you don’t need the space of a full sized model, compacts use almost as much electricity to run!
Interesting, huh? I wouldn’t have guessed that would be the case. I guess we need to think hard before we chose our next fridge! Here’s a link to CR’s Energy Saving Guides.
