Am I a “Vintage” Quilter?

As I browsed around the Revival Fabrics web site, I came across the vintage tablecloths category. Pictured there was a tablecloth and napkins in blue and white with floral and ribbon design. I’d say it dates to the 1950’s or early ’60’s.
They reminded me of a wedding shower gift from my husband’s aunt! She had given me a set of placemats and napkins…white background with blue flowers and green leaves. No swirls, but the tablecloth design at Revival Fabrics immediately reminded me of this gift, which I’d kept in pristine condition all these years.

Do Quiltmakers & Quilt Businesses Need Resumes?

I saw this question asked somewhere, “Does a business owner need a resume?” (And in a way, a quilter is a business owner if she/he is utilizing the art in a way to earn an income.)
Immediately I thought, “No, only someone applying for a job needs a resume.”
Then I began pondering some more and it’s application to quilters. Customers/clients often ask for referrals. This information may not be in the strict sense a resume, but will provide information that helps them make a knowledgeable decision, just as an employer refers to the traditional resume.
