Bit-O-Luv Dog Treats

Being small dogs, my two chihuahuas generally only get one treat a day, and that’s usually at the end of the day before they go into their crate for the night. It’s nothing special, usually just a baked treat I’ve made for them, and they’ll eat it up before settling down.

I was recently sent a few bags of the Bit-O-Luv brand dog treats to try, and truth be told, I’ve never seen my dogs eyeball where it is I put the treats after I’ve given them one, but they know exactly which cupboard these are in! As soon as they …read more

Review: T-Fal Avante Elite Toaster Oven

We have owned the T-Fal Avante Elite toaster oven for about two years now. We purchased it ourselves on Amazon in the summer of 2007 after our previous toaster oven (a Proctor-Silex) decided it wanted an early retirement and caught fire.

We had initially decided to get a toaster oven several years prior because we couldn’t seem to manage to find a toaster that would toast four pieces of bread, look nice and didn’t cost an arm and a leg.

The shampoo did lather up pretty well and got the dogs clean. I’ve never used a conditioner on either of them because …read more

Review: Crazy Cat’s Cat Quest

I was recently sent a toy to review for my cats, which I always love doing because who doesn’t love messing with their cats?

This one is especially fun and is one of my favorite kinds: something hanging off a stick! My cats also love these and will go on forever trying to get whatever’s flying around in front of them, and the Cat Quest from Crazy Cat is no exception. The battery-operated bug is attached to a plastic stick (that breaks apart for easy storing), and flutters its little wings whenever you push the button on the handle.

World’s Worst Boss

Although I’ve had my own business for a little over a year, there are many lessons, experiences and memories from corporate life that I keep with me. Some of these details are inspiring, as they help me with the daily management of the-petset.com and some other references, make me shudder.
Like the day my boss through me into a lake. Let me elaborate:
Several years ago, I worked at a large international, luxury auto maker in New Jersey. Needless to say, the men:women ratio was enourmously unbalanced, in favor of men. You can imagine the fashion environment in a car company …read more
