I just learned that there is this particular mentality that a couple goes through in a relationship called “the teenager mentality”.
Defining the basic make up of the so-called mentality, the couple basically act like how teenagers are like when they enter a relationship. Seemingly new to the whole concept, so, everything is still sweet and romantic. They also have a tendency to close themselves off from the rest of the society and, of course, there’s a lot of drama involved within the relationship.

…especially when you don’t have good role models?
If there’s one thing that they don’t teach us in school, it’s how we find the right person and how to conduct ourselves in romantic relationships. Sure, we study human behaviour in Psych 101 and probably get an idea of what’s “right” if, by chance, we’ve taken a subject or two on Theology and Philosophy. But to theoretically learn something that can really prepare ourselves for the realities that come with relationships, is somewhat unheard of.
