It’s a long shot and one hell of an effort but don’t you think it’s romantic and sweet?
Serenade is one of the ways that Filipinos (men) would to try and win the heart of their lady love. A public declaration of their feelings and that they are courting the woman. Well, at least, that’s what did traditionally and long, long ago.
Music is like food for the soul and, in this case, the heart. It touches the heart of the lady, using the melodies and lyrics. I still wish that this tradition didn’t die with the modern ways of “hooking [...]
Post from: Blisstree

Serenade is one of the ways that Filipinos (men) would to try and win the heart of their lady love. A public declaration of their feelings and that they are courting the woman. Well, at least, that’s what did traditionally and long, long ago.

Music is like food for the soul and, in this case, the heart. It touches the heart of the lady, using the melodies and lyrics. I still wish that this tradition didn’t die with the modern ways of “hooking up”.

Personally, I’ve never tried *singing* to the guy. I did, however, held the phone to a song playing on the CD player once he picked up the phone. It was Tuck and Patty’s rendition of Time After Time. Was this a bold and *cheesy* thing to do for a girl? Well, good thing the guy was already a boyfriend then when I did this.

So, if this act is normal and acceptable for guys to do, wouldn’t it be okay for girls, too? Have you done something like it? Have you tried serenading him?
