Sometimes the little routines I have going in my day get messed up. But that’s ok. I don’t really mind. I like routines because they help me get things done, but sometime it’s good to change things around a little, have a bit of a shake up. Today was a perfect example of this. I’ve been reading about the latest SARK book, Juicy Pens, Thirsty Paper, for some time now. I read about it before it came out and now that the book is available, too. I own a couple of SARK books and know her style well. I wondered if it was really worth buying. You know the whole thing you go through with just about every book you consider buying.

Exploring Creativity

Another aspect of journal writing I really enjoy is how I have room to explore my own creativity. Taking this seriously, you can read books by Julia Cameron, such as Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity, and Eric Maisel, such as Fearless Creating (Inner Workbook.) Less seriously you can read anything by SARK, such as Fearless Creating (Inner Workbook.).
But really, all you need to do is decide you want to work on creativity and explore that in your journal. Books are great and give you guidance and ideas, but simply writing your thoughts on the process and …read more
