I just realised yesterday that I’m celebrating a year of blogging here at Dating Dames today! Isn’t it cool? Wow! I can’t believe that a year has already gone by.
I can still remember that day when I got Gayla’s email asking me if I was interested to join her here… of course, I was! So, after a bit of discussion, she announced the arrival of the new dame! I then followed it up with a short post to say hi and introduce myself and like what they always say, “the rest is history.”
I’d like to thank you, Gayla, for taking …read more

Dating Dames on a Mission

Over the last several days, I’ve been pondering the direction of Dating Dames – where it’s been, where it’s going – as part of a channel wide project in which each blog is sharing individual Mission Statements.
Being one of the Dating Dames since the beginning, I suppose I can speak more authoritatively on the intended direction as it were, from conception.
Ultimately, I’d love to think that Dating Dames will grow to be a great resource for the online singles scene. A reference for honest reviews, advice and provide inspiration for those who may be suffering a broken heart. I’d love for …read more
What Would You Do: First Date turned Double Date

When Gayla wrote about men’s psychology, I really had to sit down and think. It’s quite true. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time “studying” how guys think — particularly that guy I happen to like — but it’s actually a futile endeavour. I mean, why bother? Really?
Alright. I sound like some bitter, heartbroken, sour-graping woman [there's a certain likelihood that I most probably am] but hear me out for a second. What would you do in my place if something like this happens to you?
Let me paint a somewhat clear picture for you. Fine. It’s going to be one …read more
Share your non-couple moment!

When Gayla first introduced the idea of Non-Couples here at Dating Dames, it created an avenue for the readers to interact with us and with each other. It’s a great thing to learn through each others experiences and my wish is for it to continue on.
With that in mind, I’d like to remind all you guys that we are still accepting your contributions. Again, if you prefer to write it on your own space, just send us the link and we’ll be happy to feature it.
If you’re wondering how you should go about doing it, feel free to check …read more
One Fine Date

I just had to write about this date I had with a mid-twenty-ish Irish Brit who happens to look like Colin Farrell but to my brother-in-law, it’s Herschel Gibbs of South Africa’s Cricket Team. No, I’m not kidding. I met him a few months ago when he came up to me in Norwood and introduced himself and this date I’m referring to happened a couple of weeks after our first meeting.
He took me to Hindmarsh Stadium to watch a real Soccer match. It was so special since it was my first time to see one. Thinking about it makes me …read more
Sasha’s Non-Couple Moment

When Gayla shared her non-couple moment in a previous entry then invited us over at the b5media community to do the same, I knew I couldn’t and wouldn’t turn her down. I like telling stories, you see.
It took time for me to organise my thoughts as to which non-couple moment I would share here at Dating Dames. Yea, I did have a moment or two — uh, perhaps a little more than that — that I might share to you guys. But for now, I reckon I’d start with one. His name is Peter.
Wow. I’m disclosing his real name, eh? …read more
Hi, it’s me.

I just thought I’d introduce myself since the announcement of the arrival of a new Dame was made earlier.
Hi, I’m Sasha. I’ve agreed to join Gayla here at Dating Dames.
Before you start thinking that I have all the answers to all your burning love queries, I tell you, STOP. RIGHT. THERE. Teehee. I’m definitely no expert in the love department nor will I ever be. Then why did they decide to take me on then? Well, I reckon they saw what I can do for all the readers of Dating Dames — I can be someone you guys can …read more
