Under the Sink & Vanity Drawer Bathroom Storage Solutions

If you have a vanity vs. free standing sink, you’ve got ready storage space under the sink. The problem with this is that most under the sink spaces are way under utilized. First of all, one side is usually taken up with visible and annoying pipes, and the other side is tall, but has no shelving system. The last issue are those really long drawers in bathroom vanities. They’re usually long, but not so wide, and few come with partitioned storage.
The best thing about storage solutions for under the sink or in a drawer is that you can buy ugly …read more

Shower Interior Storage – Soap & Shampoo Holders for Inside the Tub

We’ve seen some Nice Shower Rack Choices here at Declutter It before, but to round out our bathroom decluttering and organizing bonaza, I figured I’d bring in a few more

Mercer Bath System – I recently saw this and love it. All the little hooks, and the racks for washcloths are so functional. This system is a little pricey but it’ll hold a lot. It’s appropriate for showers or as an above the tub solution. Available at Pottery Barn. (I didn’t even know they had bath goods!)

Pint sized bathroom storage for little humans

As small as they are, I swear kids come with more junk and gear than any adult I’ve ever met. Once I had my son, my household clutter grew a lot faster, and staying on top of it became more of a challenge. That said, there are some excellent kid-sized bathroom storage solutions around that will help to keep your life a little less cluttered and a lot saner; at least during tub time.

General bathroom decluttering

This week, or maybe this month, we’re concentrating on Getting An Organized & Clutter-Free Home for the New Year. Right now we’re looking at bathrooms.
General ideas for decluttering your bathroom:

While I’m a big fan of consolidating bathroom products to save space, I know that advice like this is hard for some to swallow. Many people love their beauty products. If you’re a beauty product junkie, I can live with that, but your bathroom might not be able to. Don’t store unopened products in the bathroom. If you must have five face creams and four conditioners, only store the items you …read more

Five tips for EXTRA small bathrooms

If you’re dealing with more people than you have bathrooms, or maybe just too many people for too small a bathroom, then use these ideas to save on space.

Nothing in the tub, drawers, or on the counters: Give each family member a plastic or aluminum tote and let them carry their bathroom goodies back and fourth from their closet to the bath.
Hang towel racks over the backs of bedroom doors.
Think high. If towel racks in the bedroom is too inconvenient, try hanging a series of racks on the wall – but place some higher than normal. So long as the …read more

Consolidate in the bathroom to save space

Coming up we’ll be taking a look at the sponsor of our current Anywhere Vault Giveaway; they’ve had a site re-design which is cool, and I’ll be weighing in with my experience using the service as well.
First though, I thought we’d kick off the day with some bathroom clutter solutions. This is one area where I have almost no issues. I have just one bathroom in my house, but % wise, it’s the biggest room in the house. Seriously, you could fit a full sized bed in there. We have a toilet and tub of course, and also a laundry …read more
