Father and Son Scrapbook Pages

Guidelines for submissions:
1. You can submit a paper-based or digital layout, card (either 2-fold, 3-fold or accordion type), mini-album or tag as long as it is relavant to the month’s theme (in this case, wedding)or topic or chosen technique/style.
2. Submit any size of your choice, 12×12, 8×8, 6×6, 5×7 whether double or single layouts. Maximum of 2 layouts per submission.
3. In submitting, please include the following:
a. jpeg or gif file of the layout, card or tag
b. Technique and materials used
c. Journaling text (if any)
d. Scrapper’s name and location

There are no monetary compensations for layouts submitted. All accepted submissions will be featured in the Scrapbooking Blog and credits will be given to the successful scrapper.

August Challenge: Wedding Layouts

Techniques Used: Storyteller club kit and various adhesives to get the desired effect. The words also came as part of the kit but are from Memory Makers and called 4th of July.

The journaling on page 1 reads as follows:
We actually stayed awake to see our first fireworks display. We watched with the Sternback family. We jumped at the loud booms and watched all the pretty colors the booms made. We picked out our favorite colors. We held our ears for the boom, boom, boom of the fireworks as it came to an end. We got back to the car and fell asleep. – All hand written by Lisa.

The journaling on page 2 reads as follows:
Topper: Freehold 2005 New Jersey
Event Attendees: mommy & daddy, Michael and Bryan, Mommy & daddy Sternback, Brian and Hunter and Grandma & Grandpa B. Also all hand written by Lisa.

The other tag came with the kit it reads: Fireworks light up the sky what a beautiful array Everyone oohs and ahhs on this special day.

4th of July Scrapbook Layouts

Each month, we will have a theme to follow or work around. In honour of the 4th of July holiday in the US, I am now accepting submissions for layouts relating to the 4th of July holiday.

Calling for 4th of July Scrapbook Layouts

Here’s a double layout (Two 12×12 sized facing pages) I made to document my daughter’s first year. It’s a definite space saver if you don’t want to do a month-by-month layout of your child’s first year. Using this technique, you can view your child’s first year using 2 layouts saving you time, effort and $$$$.

First off, select the best photos of your child for each of his/her first 12 months. Crop (i.e. cut, trim) them to your desired size and mat (white background on photos) to allow photos to stand out.
