Supplies Needed:

__Photoshop (or other software comparable)
__Printer (color, ink jet)
__Digital kits (see the listing below for the ones I chose)
__Spray Adhesive

How To:

1. Layer papers on a 8.5×11 page in Photoshop. Remember that you will want to leave some room on the top, bottom, and right side of your cover to wrap around the album base.

2. Add embellishments as desired.

3. Print page and adhere to album base with a spray adhesive, wrapping paper/fabric around edges of cover for a nice, finished look.

Spring Scrapbook Layout and Project Ideas

Wendy Anderson created this lovely spring treats bucket for easter:

Glue or mod podge strips of Making Memories Flower Patch paper side by side on a bucket or small tin. Embellish the bucket or tin with Making Memories Flower Patch trims and stickers. You can even use the Slice Cordless Design Cutter and shimmer alpha stickers to add a label to the front of your treat bucket.

Easter Project: Spring Treats Bucket

As a mad cropper, you do get tired of creating layout after layout. Good to have a wee break from it and what could be a better break than a scrapbook project?

Mia’s Exploding Box is something I’d like to do when I get the chance. It’ll be nice to have an exploding box like this to put on my desk at work so that when I’m missing my baby, all I have to do is open the box and voila, I’ve got her beautiful photos to look at:-)

However, they look so simple and to be honest, quite blah so imagine my surprise while I was surfing on the net when I saw Valerie Salmon’s post on what she did with her note cards and caddy from Ikea. Seems like I’ll be busy in the coming weeks!

First Project: Altering Note Cards

Here’s what Valerie did:

This is just a simple design that is easy to duplicate over and over, and personalize with a monogram. These are made using those pre-packaged cards & envelopes that you can get mostly at any craft store. A set of my notecards only uses 2 sheets of patterned paper and some cardstock scraps. So easy! I finished it off with packaging it with a cellophane bag and topped it with a bag topper that I quickly created digitally.

Scrapbooking Project: Recipe Binder

I’ve always want to learn how to alter paint cans. Not that I’ve got time but it’s good to keep this in mind when time finally becomes available!

Before you start, it might pay to visit this website that have got heaps of cans available: http://www.cansareus.com

Altered cans can be used for wedding gifts or they’re a great way to hold cards at the reception. Baby gifts look adorable tucked in a blue or pink gift can and Halloween treats never tasted as sweet as when they are handed out in a one of a kind pail. Other possible uses:
1. Spa Buckets: Bath salts, shower gel, manicure set.
2. Writing Pail: Stationery, notepads, and pens.
3. Birthday in a Can: Complete with candles, balloons, card, gift, and party hat!
4. Movie Bucket: Video or video gift card, microwave popcorn, drink mix.
5. Over the Hill Bucket: Assorted over the hill products.

The supply list is simple and the things you need may already be in your craft closet. You will need a new paint can, paper (preferably two patterns and/or colors), glue dots, ribbon, and beads. You can use flowers, tags, and other embellishments depending on your taste.

Always wanted to embellish your paper bag? Why not do it with latest Papertrey product lines by ‘Capture the Moment’

The patterned paper on this bag uses several images from Papertrey’s new floral set. I LOVE how purple hydrangea VersaMagic ink turns out when used on kraft paper. It is so vibrant. I also used the New Canvas Palette ink. It is a soft white and really helped to tie in my accent color in a muted way.

If you haven’t met them before, I would like to introduce you to the “Got Flowers?” Deux Series from Prima. Most of the flower images in our new floral set were designed to coordinate with these itty-bitty cuties! They fit perfectly in the stamped flowers center, adding both dimension & detail. They are available in 18 colors, and we got ‘em ALL!

Scrapbook Project: Embellished Paper Bag

Ribbons have always been great embellishments but I’ve never come across the use of ribbons as a main feature in any scrapbook project until Candice Palmer!

I went a little ribbon crazy with this mini-album, covering it front to back with bands of ribbon. But I love the happy combination of polka dots and stripes. How�d I get the ribbon to stay put? I used my favorite ribbon adhesive: Art Accentz�s Terrifically Tacky Tape. It�s double sided and works like a charm on all kinds of ribbon. (No, I wasn’t paid to say this. It’s true!)
