Do you Facebook? I do. I’m a member of 2 social networking sites that I regularly check on. One of them is Facebook. I’ve got one for my professional networking. So I’ve got 3 in all. How many have you got? There’s so many networking sites out there, it’s hard to keep up! But I digress, just good to know that Pink Paislee recognised the power of social networking!

Controversy Surrounds Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame Book Release
October 20, 2007 by Christine Gooding

Hmm, I didn’t realise that the scrapbooking world is surrounded by controversy as well!
Rumors of impropriety have swirled around Creating Keepsakes’ annual Hall of Fame contest almost from its beginning 9 years ago. But with the release of Vol. 9 of the Hall of Fame annual, featuring the 2007 contest winners, the whispers have become a roar that Creating Keepsakes and the scrapbook industry can no longer pretend not to hear.
The 2007 contest rules explicitly stated that all photos in the entry had to have been taken by the entrant. But when the book hit newstands recently, at least one …read more

The Rolls Royce of Crafters has just upped the notch of this wonderful hobby, scrapbooking. Who decided she likes scrapbooking? It’s Martha Stewart that is! I admire this woman despite the conviction but hey, no one’s perfect!
The Economist reports
MARTHA STEWART is a woman with many hobbies. She cooks, gardens and makes jam. And now it seems she has decided to take up scrapbooking. This month Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia launched a line of Martha-branded supplies, bringing a dash of glamour to the world of paper crafts.
Scrapbooking is more popular than golf

Can you believe that? Is this true? Here in New Zealand, almost every bloke I know is a keen or aspiring golfer.
However, according to a Craft and Hobby Association research,
Modern scrapbooking began in the early 1980s when the first scrapbooking store opened in Utah. But the hobby really exploded about 10 years ago, turning into a $2.5 billion annual industry.
In fact, the pastime is now more popular than golf. That’s right. Golf.
One in three households has a scrapbooker, compared with one in four households with a golfer.
Wow, better let the boss know….haha!
