Decorate with red, white, and blue quilts, hangings, table cloths, runners and more for the Fourth of July celebrations. Also, check out your fabrics and start some red, white, and blue patriotic projects.
My daughter found, among her fabric stash, red-white-blue printed fabric with flags on it. “This will be great for a table runner for the 4th,” she remarked.
So she’s hemming it, and will add solid color red, white, and blue napkins. These can be fabric ones or paper.

Quilts 4Cancer

Quilters from Pahrump, NV have organized a project, Quilts 4Cancer, to give Christmas quilts to children with cancer. They plan to provide 500 quilts made from fabric with a holiday/Christmas theme. If you don’t have time to make a quilt, you can donate fabric with holiday designs.

Browsing through quilt patterns brings us to a variety of names that call to mind summer and warmer weather.
Among these are patterns which refer to the sun: Sunshine and Shadow, Basket of Sunflowers, Sunbean, Sunflower, Sun Dial, Sunburst, Blazing Sun, Harvest Sun, Rising Sun, Sunshine, Triple Sunflower, and Kansas Sunflower.
From the garden we may find Corn and Beans, Golden Corn, Gourd Vine, Cherries, Grapes and Vines, Melon Patch, Strawberry, Mary’s Garden, and Martha’s Vineyard.
