Love the shelves of ScrapStampSew’s craft room. Yes, it’s a tad messy but I prefer it creatively disorganized like this rather than freakishly tidy!
This room looks like it’s ‘lived in’ and that someone is actually using it! I used to have a craft room but it’s been taken over by my Husband as his home office. I still have a desk there but I haven’t done much crafting there. My craft area is tidier than it usually is I had a big clean up the other week. Maybe I’ll be brave enough to take a photo and share here. LOL

When Do You Organize Your Quilting Room?

What does your quilting room look like?  Is it a family project room? A room of accumulation?  One that needs organizing occasionally?
I acquire all sorts of stuff and projects in our office, my project room, and our bedroom.  My daughter does the same in the end of the living room that’s her quilting space. I’ve also had to clean out relatives’ homes and wondered what to do with the memorabilia. Much of it became piles in my home…and I’m still sorting!

Finding space for your quilting and sewing is a challenge for many of us.  For instance, in our multi-generational household, my daughter has one side of the living room for sewing machine, cabinets and bookcases, along with cutting table.  When she does her dyeing, it’s at the kitchen sink and counter, or in the bathtub.
Some quilters have ample space…an entire room, or even a small building on the premises.  Others may have an attic or basement space converted for their own use.  Then there are those who make effective use of whatever space is available.
