Fall is sometimes a little difficult to dress for because it’s in-between summer dresses and coats and scarves.  Remember that you don’t have to show a lot of skin to be sexy so it’s definitely a great time to cover up a little, but still look great.

Here are some tips for picking out your perfect sexy outfit for Fall:

• Wear boots. There are only a few weeks in Fall where the temperature is perfect for wearing boots with a dress and no tights.  A Fall wrap dress that comes to just above the knee would look great with a pair of heeled boots.  You get to show just the tiniest bit of leg!

• Find a great pair of tight-fitting dark skinny jeans. Go to a department store with a huge denim section and try on every pair until you find the perfect style that makes your butt look great!  Skinny jeans are perfect with ballet flats for a casual but conservative look.

• Wear a cotton V-neck or cowl neck.  Try tops with both necklines.  They can be very flattering for a curvy woman’s figure.  A sleeveless cowl neck is one of my favorite tops for Fall.

• Mix tight and loose on top and bottom.  If you wear tight pants, wear a blousey top and if you wear loose-fitting pants wear a more snug top.  This is one of my secrets for putting together an outfit quickly…leggings go with a empire waist top and comfortable trouser pants go with a tiny fitted top.  You will look great, stylish, and put together.

• Try wearing thin light-colored super soft cashmere layer.  I find thin cashmere to be very sexy, but you will have to do a little shopping to find out if the look is right for you.  I have a seafoam green super thin delicate cashmere sweater with a huge scoop neck, overly long sleeves, and a slight A-shape that is fabulous when layered over a tank.

• Get a cute Fall jacket.  Don’t get caught shivering without sleeves or sweating in a wool coat.  Find a cute cotton jacket in a color that will go with your closet.  If you wear a jacket, then you can also push your sleeveless wardrobe further into the Fall months.

• Wear a flowing silk blouse in a bright color or floral.  Again, a top doesn’t have to be tight to be sexy.  You can find a beautiful loose silk blouse that is extremely flattering to your figure.

• Wear your hair down.  Big bouncy curls are in this Fall, so try hot rollers or wear it down in a way that feels comfortable.  You will look beautiful!

Most importantly:  Be confident and comfortable in the way that you look and you will be beautiful and sexy.

Lets go back a few years, it was his very first year in public school and the third grade. This was a very bad year for our family, especially due to one teacher that told me flat out she hated homeschoolers. They were doing a cultural thing at school and watching a film, I guess SoccerBoy said something that was bad. I worked at the school every day back then, I’ve since never volunteered to help at any school. Part of me blamed myself for the way the teacher treated him, maybe she just didn’t like me so she took it out on him. Even if we never ran into one another, it embed a seed there. She waited four days to tell me about this, it happened on a Thursday, I heard nothing on Friday and finally she approached me on Monday.

“So Did you talk to SoccerBoy?” Teacher asked.
“Umm, yeah.”
“And?”
“Is there something we should’ve talked about? Did something happen at school?”
“Nevermind, if you don’t know SoccerBoy didn’t talk to you.”

In the end she finally did spill her guts and told me that while watching a movie of a two guys beating on drums SoccerBoy told the kid next to him, “I wish they had two sexy girls instead of these two fat guys.” When she told me I was left with my jaw open. She asked, “You’re surprised too.” I shook my head and asked exactly what wasit that he said that was bad. What the bad word was, I couldn’t figure it out.

I ran the sentence through my head twice before asking her just to make sure I hadn’t missed a curse word. But I couldn’t figure it out. The bad word….sexy. Oh and she didn’t understand why he’d prefer girls over guys. Ummm, if my son were stating he’d rather watch sexy men, wouldn’t that have came out WRONG?

Back to today, I smiled and asked exactly what they learned. “We learned what could count as sexual harrasment, both verbal and nonverbal types including physical.” But that’s as far as he got. Guess I won’t be learning anything new today. At least he didn’t get in trouble for anything though. Hopefully I can get to hear more of what was taught so I can hit on it more or write about it here.

I have noticed in the years since I was a child things have definitely changed, back in school it was okay to hold hands, pass notes or even hear a guy whistle. These days these are all against the law type of things, a student can get written up for any of them. I’m glad it is being taught how to conduct oneself around others but I also wonder if some of it isn’t going too far. I mean the word sexy in regards to my son not wanting to watch a bunch of guys dancing on a stage. She told me she could’ve had him suspended worse.  What do you think of sexual harrasment? Are they teaching everything that needs to be taught, or is there more?

Sexual Harrasment Awareness at School

While reading Lemondrop, I found Porn For Women,  a book of postcards.

Porn for Women……..sound dirty? Not such much, actually it’s very, very clean. Among the photos, find beautiful men cleaning, a handsome guy folding clothes while also holding a baby, gorgeous boys generally being lovely and generous. Sexy, for sure.

It made me curious about the original book. Here’s what I found inside the original Porn For Women book:

I love this idea! I’m going to pick up copy of this book. The sexiest thing Steve ever did was cook for me. My ex-husband used to surprise me with M&Ms when I was pregnant with Bailey and craving them like crazy. I always showed my appreciation and that kept me in a constant supply of chocolate for months.

Actually, this should be required reading for men. Want to be sexy guys? Then pick up your socks, put the seat down, and surprise your lady with something, anything that shows hey, I was thinking of you when I did this, not me. Courtesy and generosity are sure to put your lady in the mood.
