It’s hot out today with a slight breeze going through the air so the girls took total advantage of it. Last night we had the storm shoot through here and now have the gorgeous after weather, at least that’s what we call it.
Not a single child played outside though on our street so instead of going down two flights of stairs the girls begged me to play out on the balcony. Now before anyone worries, I’m right there with them and they are only allowed right by the back door.

With Spring here and kids coming and going on spring break it is time to start stocking up on the fun things they can do. We’ve been cooped up inside the house due to snow but I’ve been taking advantage of those sells at the stores and the little $1 aisle in the kids toys at Walmart. Fun Toys at Walmart:
.99 Sidewalk chalk
.99 bubbles
.99 kites
4/$1.00 seeds
.99 gardening tools

Sidewalk Art Contest
I’m certainly not ready to give up summer quite yet and I have my fingers crossed that we will still be treated to a nice long Indian Summer. Also a great way to sneak in a little socializing!
Actually, after looking at that green polka dot piece of chalk, you just …read more
Are Your Kids Sugar Junkies?
It seems from what I have been reading, that kids eat their weight in sugar every year. For that matter, so do we! so if you are thinking about items for that Easter Basket, you might want to add some none-sugar items. How about sidewalk chalk, fancy markers or a cd that they have been talking about. The basket doesn’t have to be full of candy.
Yes, you can call me the grinch lol… but my alternatives will actually give them something to do!
