Were you aware that this week is National Unmarried and Single Americans week?
No? Me neither, but then Christina, over at Solomother clued me in with her post, It’s National Singles Week… how will you celebrate yourself?
Unsure what National Singles Week is? Well as explained by the SFGate in Celebrating the single-minded life;
There are 92 million unmarried Americans, and this is their week.
Since the 1980s, the third full week of September has been National Singles Week. Started by Ohio’s Buckeye Singles Council as a way to recognize the role singles play in society, it is now known as National Unmarried and Single Americans Week. According to …read more
Chronicles of an Interracial Dater

While combing my content sources this morning, I happened on I Date White, Chronicles of a Black Man dating White Women.
First, I want to say just how much I admire Eathen for having the courage to share such personal experiences with the world.
This happens to be one of those “issues” I’m ignorant to, but am completely captivated by and will be looking forward to learning through the personal experiences of Eathen.
While I have my own solid preferences when it comes to interracial relationships, that’s just saying it’s not right for me – but for those who can withstand the …read more
Dating, Marriage and ‘The Dip’

For someone who’s been seriously in the dating scene for the past decade (i.e. single and unmarried person going out with someone who’s not her boyfriend — not referring to the kind of ‘dating’ that we go through when we were teenagers, mind you), I’ve never really sat down and think about my own “marry-ability” as Mikey have in his post, “The Dip. Marry-ability.” over at his personal blog.
I have to admit that I’m impressed that he took it upon himself to share his thoughts on the matter, no matter how introspective it is, cuz it highlighted certain points in …read more

Oh to be 20-something again! She’s got the bull by the horns and she doesn’t even know it!
Give It 2 Muah is a journal written by a gal who has been ’single’ again for nearly 2 months and has taken her life lessons to the internet.
Sometimes humorous, sometimes not, but regardless, you’ll be captivated by the journey of Katia.

Relationships: You Have To Work At It

I came across this wonderful post that talks about how individuals should re-learn the concept of “you have to work at it” when it comes to relationships. We all have to admit that, yes, there are stages that you go through that makes everything look easy but when the time comes that you find yourselves in a rut, it doesn’t always mean that you have to give up.
Here’s an excerpt from the post to give you a better idea of what to expect:
For example, this Monday, they were discussing marrying and breaking up and age. One of the morning …read more

If you are and you haven’t hooked up with Tucker Max, you might just be able to thank a few lucky stars. As they say…Every cloud does have a silver lining.
Tucker Max is the author of his—fittingly narcissistic—self-titled website, where he has published over 80 very detailed stories about his ridiculous sex soirées. This guy is a true work of art. He published this disclaimer:
“If you are a reasonably intelligent female, it should be obvious that you don’t want to date me. I am shallow, narcissistic, self-absorbed, and insufferably arrogant. I have no desire to commit to anything beyond …read more

Here is a date idea post intended particularly for the men who wishes to sweep their lady love off their feet by taking them on a whimsical date.
A good friend of mine tips us on certain *romantic* places you can take you date to — with emphasis on putting an element of surprise in the plan. Of course, this only applies to singles who are currently staying or living in Manila, Philippines.
Markku Seguerra is a programmer-slash-photographer who is currently single and, quite possibly, in love. That’s probably why he’s able to write a post on five special and romantic places …read more
To get a good guy, be a good girl

“In real life, I have observed that a lot of my friends who are nicer and more conservative than I am, have these great men beside them. And I…got some real bad lemons. After noticing this…and reading Bo Sanchez’s book, I am slowly coming to the conclusion that: to get a good guy, I have to be a good girl.” – Sorsi, That Girl Was Me!
Hmmm…
Again.
Hmmm…
I can’t say I agree but who am I to challenge a real-life observation, huh? I can only offer my own personal opinion regarding the matter and let Sorsi take care of the rest. But …read more

Just when I’d thought I’d seen just about every niche’ possible in the dating arena, along comes one that makes me smile!
A couple of years ago, I began urging single bloggers to utilize their blogs as tools to invite other singles to get to know them on a more personal and much deeper level than the person that was captured in a quick personals profile.
It seems a few others had the same idea!
The marketing for this site should be relatively easy and could really take off if they plan and play their cards just right!
Check it out! They’re calling all Lonelybloggers …read more
