Growing up, my favorite author was Judy Blume. I read everything she wrote, most books multiple times. I loved her! When my sister came through town the other day, she lent me her copy of Judy Blume’s novel for adults, Smart Women.
Originally published in the 80s, the subject matter is still relevant today. It’s a novel that tells the story of a couple of divorced women with children – Margo and B.B.- in their 40s. As a divorced woman of 42, I could really relate.

How Do They Do It?
I spent yesterday on the couch, doubled over in pain. Apparently, I was the lucky recipient of a stomach virus. Not fun. Since my husband could not take the day off, I was left to fend for myself and my children were left to have the run of the house. Scary. At one point, they came parading out of my room in full drag, right down to my thong underwear.
