Aging and death
I was talking to a friend of mine this evening. Both of her parents are in a nursing home, and her dad’s not doing too well.
She remarked that she got upset when she last went to visit them, and her dad said, “Well, everybody dies, it’s OK” and that reminded me about this delightful post from Sista Smiff about old age which contained this quote:
All my life I’ve been taught how to die, but no one ever taught me how to grow old.

At the risk of this becoming the “adults who lose their parents” blog, if you are a Grey’s Anatomy fan, last night was moving.
