Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
I was teaching Middle School when I read the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants for the first time. I was 26 years old and I cried like I was a teenager as each of the four girls delved into their own emotions to find themselves. I thoroughly enjoyed Ann Brashares naked portrayal of a teenager’s rites of passage into adulthood.
Brashares managed to maintain a childlike innocence to her story telling while all the while examining adult topics.

It’s Valentine’s Day!
Throughout the day, I’m going to try and post some trailers from movies (taken from books) that are romantic in some way.
First up, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It’s not a classic romance – more about friendship than love – but has some lovely moments. I’m including it first as a nod to the sequel (you can find the trailer to the sequel here).
