Body image in our society is out of control. We have young women–and men–comparing themselves to unrealistic models and images in the media and feeling bad about the way their own bodies look because they don’t somehow measure up. Despite the backlash against airbrushing and photoshopping and saying they promote unhealthy body images, eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia continue to affect over 11 million Americans. But according to a new study, there is something else we can do to help curb these numbers: Eliminate skinny models. It’s a good idea in theory, but it doesn’t go far enough. More
