Monday Motivation: Get Over the Guilt and Back on Track

Okay, it’s Monday. It’s a new week and hopefully by now the leftovers are gone. It’s time to put the last 4 days behind you and get back on track. Don’t feel guilty. We all slip, but we also deserve to splurge once in a while.
If you can put the past behind you and live through today with renewed self-confidence and motivation, you can do anything.
Smile and say aloud, “Nothing matters more than that I feel good,” and you’ll be on your way!

Post Gustav Part 3 – Getting back on track

The crazy thing is, I assumed since I was out of my routine and eating fast food quite a bit, that I would have gained two or three pounds. But not so. What’s bad is I’ve been eating more–and more of the wrong things–since I’ve been back home. The busyness of trying to get life back on track has caused me to make poor choices. So it’s back to the drawing board for me, which means:
keeping my food journal every day
drinking more water
eating more veggies
cutting out the junk food

Last week I decided to forego my weekly weigh in. I have struggled pretty much the entire month of June. I follow the Weight Watchers plan at home, but decided to give myself a break from posting a weigh in last Monday. I needed a “free” week to get myself back on track without feeling terrible about myself or beating myself over the head.

Yes, it seems I’m on the upswing now. Frustrating! But it’s my own fault. I know I didn’t do good last week. I didn’t stick to my Points Target at all any day of the week. I ate out a lot last week, too.
