Estes/Twombly continued – the McKeough House

Last night I told you about my little crush on Estes/Twombly. This morning I’ve got my favorite structure from this firm. I’m pretty sure the McKeough House is the first Estes/Twombly home I saw, and it’s lovely.
Ok, more than lovely. This is like twilight house eye candy bliss. That term won’t be sweeping the nation anytime soon, but it’s how I feel. This beautiful structure is traditional Block Island with a twist. My new crush on Estes/Twombly

I’m having a little thing for Estes/Twombly right now. I saw an Estes/Twombly structure in a book (or magazine – you know me, I forget the small details) a while back and fell in love. This isn’t offbeat architecture in a loony way, but this is unique work, as in you want to stare at it all day.
I love plenty of their work, but I’m only going to show two structures. One now, and because I can’t stop myself, my favorite one later.
