Om

The simplest definition of Om is breathe. A very simple concept, and one that is often forgotten about. I know that when I am stressed and/or not feeling fantastic, focusing on the breath is about the last thing that I do. I am forever needing a reminder to breathe. So I did something about it. Or rather, my wonderful esthetician helped me to do something about it.

CFS Participation

Quick! Tell me 3 things about living with or managing your illness that you are actually glad about. Anything at all that makes you feel a little bit better (or more than that). Something that you do on a regular or semi-regular basis. All I am asking is for 3 things. Surely that can’t be too difficult.

what keeps you going?

I often write about some of the things that I do to keep going, when I experience tough times. With the exception of motrin and an occasional swig or 2 of cough medicine, these “things” don’t include prescription meds.
In the past few years I have discovered the following things that work for me
~acupuncture
~meditation
~an increase in water consumption
~trail walking
~reconnecting with my guitar
~long chunks of alone time
~spa day – once a month
~spending time with pets
