Senate Special Committee on Aging
Did you know that the United States Senate has a Special Committee on Aging?
They’ve had hearings on a number of topics pertaining to aging over the years.
Today’s hearing, Caring For Our Seniors: How Can We Support Those On The Frontlines? included Martha Stewart, who established The Martha Stewart Center for Living at Mt. Sinai Hospital as a result of her experiences with her aging mother.
From the Martha Stewart Center for Living website:
The Martha Stewart Center for Living (MSCL) serves to promote and facilitate access to health care resources for older adults and to enhance the public perception of aging.
Though the document isn’t available yet, it’s good to see discussion about supporting those people who are actively caring for our elderly.
