Woot! It’ll be a treat. SMS Text News‘ Ewan MacLeod is going Speed Dating!
However, he did say he’s only in it for ‘research’ — he’ll be taking down notes on mobile phones used by the participants and he’s even hoping to get photos to document the phone sighting.

We all know that Speed Dating isn’t named that way for nothing so it’s important that you’ve got it together when you’re participating in the event. For those who are not aware of what happens in one, let me give you the gist of it.

Are women more shallow than men?

According to a speed-dating experiment at Edinburgh International Science Festival, many women take about half a minute to make up their minds about a potential partner.
Following tests involving 500 `dates’. The findings revealed that women were twice as likely to make up their minds about the opposite sex than men.
According to the professor that was behind this study, men are often characterized as being shallow and tend to judge women too quickly. However, this particular study indicates that this particular common belief may be way off base – and that in reality; women are shallower and judge more quickly.

I’ll be honest, I’ve never tried one of those Speed Dating Events, though they look fun and interesting, it wasn’t something that had developed much interest during my dating career.
