Decorating With & On Spoons

Many objects are considered the basis for art these days, and spoons make up just one of them.  There are many ways you can add decoration to spoons of various types for display and decoration.

Paint wooden spoons in various colors.  Add designs by gluing on paper or painting them. 
Make faces on the wooden spoons and give them hair and bonnet to resemble an old fashioned doll.  You also can add clothes.
Decorate the spoon with flowers or a scenic.

Spoons Exhibit Opens Today in Japan

1002 Spoons Exhibition from Tokyo-based German designer Jurgen Lehl will be shown at the Jurgen Lehl Babaguri store in Tokyo and then throughout Japan. The exhibit begins today and will tour throughout Japan until the end of December.
Spoons in the exhibit are made from organic materials and range from simple to very elaborate. Some were collected from around the world, while others were created by Lehl for this show.
Materials include wood, coconut, shell, gourd, bamboo, metals and more.
