Over a Foot of Snow Fell Last Night

]]> Well, I guess we paid for a mild Fall season. Spring just doesn’t seem to want to get here. We were told last night we would get anywhere between 4 and 8 inches of snow. I woke up, rolled over, and flipped on the TV. All the cancellations were rolling at the bottom of the screen and over a foot of snow was blanketing the ground. And it was still coming down… supposed to continue all morning. Don’t believe me? Here are some pictures I took of our little table in the yard, our canoe on the canoe rack and the Isuzu parked in the driveway.

Here is a little table we have outside of our house with a couple chairs. Look on top of the table and tell me how much snow is on there. We had no snow prior to the storm.

Let it Snow Let it Snow Let it Snow

]]> Well the weather out side is FRIGHTFUL… Millions lost power not too long ago due to ice and snow all across the Midwest. Well fortunately we didn’t get the bulk of the storm up here in Maine. Most of it hit Southern parts of New England and then went out to sea. Of course I don’t have all my firewood inside yet and we actually did get the outer banks of the storm. About an inch fell here this morning.

The kids were excited and wanted to wear their boots to school. This was the first morning in a long time they were eager to get going and get outside.

So here we go. Send me some snow pictures. Did you go sledding, make a snowman, have a snowball fight?

Here is a photo of last year’s sledding expedition. Notice the hill is our back steps…
