The other day we were sitting in a restaurant when suddenly one of the employees started smiling and chatted with my 2-year-old boy.
That’s when I spotted her taking her camera out and flipping it open, the flash made it obvious and then she turned my way, put her arm around me, smiling and said, “He’s cute. Yes?” and walked away. I was shocked, horrified, confused. Why had this woman just took a picture of my son and hadn’t even bothered to ask me? Plus why would she take a picture of my child?

When I was four years old, I wandered off at the mall. My mom was shopping. I was gone for hours. The cops and store security were searching and searching for me. It took a long time to find me though because when two security guards stopped me, and asked if I was the lost kid, I said, “Lost? I’m not lost” and wandered off. Luckily someone wised up, and I was found and safe.
