Have you ever hit the kitchen, all fired up to make something special, only to discover that you were missing a few key ingredients? Don’t worry, sometimes you might have to re-think a dish, but there are always substitutions.
I regularly make substitutions when I prepare pancakes or brownies. Buttermilk is not something I keep in the fridge, but add one tablespoon of vinegar to one cup of milk and I’m good to go. Every home cook or foodie has, at one time or another, either run out of or forgot to pick up something they needed to finish a dish or meal.
