The beginning of the school year is an understandably stressful time for students, parents, educators and even retailers. Unfortunately, all that stress can lead to one thing if you’ve spent your summer working on recovery from an eating disorder — relapse.
Really, relapse is common and to be expected in many cases of anorexia, bulimia and binge eating. After all, it’s tough to get rid of a habit, even an unhealthy one; how many smokers stay cigarette-free forever the first time they quit?

Will you make a difference today?

How will you make a difference today in the way someone feels about his or her body?
How will you kick Ana and Mia’s tushes?
If you’re not certain, I have a few suggestions:
Don’t talk about how you hate your body today. Zip up your lip.
If you see someone (especially a woman) who looks good, TELL HER. Not in a creepy way, of course, but do give a passing compliment. I do this routinely and you’d be amazed at how much gratitude I get just from saying, “You have wonderful arms!” or “You look incredible in that color!”
