For some, school begins in early August.  However, other youngsters don’t return to school until just before Labor Day or immediately afterwards.  So there are still many days to occupy.

Summer Travel Crafts

I’m one of those people who loves to have a crafty project to work on when I’m a passenger on a trip.  Of course, it’s not so safe if I’m the driver!
My travel project of choice is usually a bag full of yo-yo circles.  I pre-cut the circles and toss them into a bag with needle, thread and scissors.  They’re small, portable and light – my perfect travel craft

Super Mom of 8, Kate Gosselin shows on Rachael Ray summer crafts you can do with your children. She demonstrated how to make little boats from recycled items in your house. Quite cool and easy to do really!
Little boats are fun (and cheap!) way to entertain your kids when you go to the river or lake for a picnic. I remembered when I was a child that I used to make boats out of paper and would float them in a little stream and I’d follow them to where the current led.

Planning for Summer Craft Time

School soon will be out and that might change the nature of your crafting whether you’re doing it solely as a hobby or have ventured into a business.

If you’re a mom,you’ll have youngsters at home.  You’ll have to arrange your time differently for getting your craft done, entering shows, or making items for customers.
If you have a business, your clients may be traveling and on vacation.  So their need for your services and products may be spasmatic.
If you’re busiest in summer,  this could be the time you really have to organize your schedule and your craft production.
