With summer almost here (woohoo), and unofficially here already, the options for dates gets blown wide open. I thought I’d share some of the things we’re hoping to do this summer (when the kids are at grandma’s!!!).
1. Bike rides! (We still need the bikes, though. Hopefully, this summer. )
2. Walks in the neighborhood.
3. Movies at the Drive-In.

4. Tennis up at the park.
5. Lazy River at the waterpark (I’ll leave the big scary slides to Bald Man.)
6. Picnics in the park.
7. Spending time at the beach and hiking at the local state park.
8. Take advantage of activities down by the river. (No vans involved.)
9. Head to the myriad of local festivals. There are a ton around here!
10.Catch up on all of last summer and fall’s blockbusters. They’re all at the video store by now, and that’s a date that can happen after the kids are already in bed.

Remember that it’s so important to go on dates with your spouse. Just because a relationship was started doesn’t mean it will exist inevitably without any further time and energy put into it. Make your marriage last. Continue to know each other in every way. Be each other’s best friend. Make it a priority.
