From the MoMA store, it said, “2 Carat Cup”. The description states that the ring has a gold-colored finish with the embedded Swarovski crystal. So it does look like a ring. Kinda cute actually.

I love the description of the packaging too. A velvet box is used, then when you open it, the ring is the only thing visible. A little mysterious in a way. The cup itself is made of porcelain.

The price is not bad either. $15 for non-MoMA member, while members can purchase it for $13.

Now, wouldn’t you want to drink coffee or tea using this “2 Carat Cup”?

Whenever the season changes, from Winter to Spring/Summer, I make an inventory of our glasses and always remind myself to get some new glasses. I like to match my tableware with the season. Kinda like this set of Spring Glassware.

Aren’t they cute? The different pastel color of the insect silhouettes on the glass are very refreshing. The spring design makes beating the heat that more enjoyable.

The silhouettes were applied by sandblasting and then colored in thesanded area. A set of 6 is $70 for non MoMA member,s and $63 for MoMA members.

I love collecting serving platters. Most especially uniquely designed serving platters. I have to admit though that I usually stick to Asian designs, and solid colors with different shapes. I don’t go excited over floral designs, surprisingly. I reserve that for fashion mostly. I have a some floral designed platters but like I said, not a lot. About 3 if I remember it right.

Having said that, I want this handpainted serving platter from Becca.

Becca’s platters are all intricately, and carefully handpainted. This measures to 13″. Aren’t the flowers pretty? I feel like using this for deviled eggs, and other appetizers. I don’t want to cover the floral design with main entrées. I want to be able to show it off. Wouldn’t you?

Finger Food Plates

If a finger food or appetizer/hors d’ouevres is placed on a plate, is it still a finger food? I think so. Especially if the plate has a ring that attaches to your fingers.

Aren’t these finger food plates quite nifty? The cute little plates are big enough to hold any finger food or appetizer served at parties. So you can hold hold your drink and appetizer in one hand while the other hand does whatever. Like shaking the guests or something . I imagine it would take a bit of getting sued to though. You’ll need to remember you’re wearing a ring plate before you take a sip of your drink. If you don’t then it’s your hors d’ouevres landing on your face.

When I get a chance to visit Yard Sales or Flea Markets, I am always on the lookout for unique tablewares and platters. I get so excited finding old platters. Being an avid foodblogger who loves taking pictures of dishes, these platters come in handy.

Albeit Etsy is not a “Yard Sale” per se, it’s probably one of the few stores online where you could find really neat and unique things. Have you seen the Turkey salt & pepper shaker set?

Anyhoo, I found this Seven Deadly Sins Platter Set that I really want to get.

These plates are Reworked vintage English china plates. PRIDE, LUST, GLUTTONY, ENVY, GREED, WRATH, and SLOTH are written on the floral painted plates. I think they would be a great conversational piece among the guests. Imagine their “ooohs” and “aaaahsss” when they see the words, respectively. OR, invite friends for dinner and assign 1 deadly sin plate to each of them. Talk about a naughty party, .

$135 a set from Etsy. I can’t afford that so I’ll just dream about them. Maybe someday I’ll find something similar from a Yard Sale or at a flea market. Hey, you know what they say, “One’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure” .
