In the video, doctors who work with patients who have chronic pain discuss how many patients, particularly the older ones, don&#8217;t talk about their pain to their doctors. <p style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Verdana">The doctors also talk about how chronic pain affects </font><a href="http://www.blisstree.com/quality-of-life/" target="_blank"><font face="Verdana">quality of life </font></a><font face="Verdana">and the different types of medications (</font><a href="http://www.blisstree.com/analgesiaanalgesia/" target="_blank"><font face="Verdana">analgesics</font></a><font face="Verdana">) they can suggest, including over-the-counter medications like </font><a href="http://www.blisstree.com/nsaids/" target="_blank"><font face="Verdana">NSAIDs </font></a><font face="Verdana">(non-steroidal anti-inflammatories), such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, or prescription medications, such as </font><a href="http://www.blisstree.com/narcotic/" target="_blank"><font face="Verdana">narcotics </font></a><font face="Verdana">(morphine, etc).</font></p>
<p style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10pt" class="MsoNormal"><font face="Verdana">It&#8217;s a good video to help understand some of the treatment issues faced by doctors today.</font></p>

Pain is a very personal thing and sometimes it’s not easy to discuss this with a doctor or nurse. There are different reasons for that – you may feel that your doctor doesn’t believe you or feels you are whining, you may forget everything you wanted to talk about when you finally do speak with your doctor, or you just may be reluctant or unsure of how to help your doctor understand your problem.
