Idol’s Adam Lambert and the Easter Gnome

Two and a half American Idols are from my town – Reuben Studdard, Bo Bice (he’s the half), and Taylor Hicks. When our hometown favorites were lighting up the TV screen, I was a fan of the show. Since then I’ve given up the addiction. But I became curious about Adam Lambert, this season’s favorite, when I saw his picture spread halfway across the front page of the Sunday New York Times Style section.

Kellie Pickler Discusses Depression With People

It seems veteran American Idol contestant Kellie Pickler has joined the long list of celebrities who’ve struggled with mental health issues, and the slightly shorter list of celebrities who’ve actually spoken publicly about those struggles.
According to Yahoo! TV, Pickler discusses depression, antidepressants, emotional wreckage, and an overall “crumbling” of her personal life in an upcoming People interview.

I think I’ve found a Brain Break topic that has absolutely nothing at all to do with mental health – finally!
What is it?
2006 American Idol winner Taylor Hicks and his awesome performance of the National Anthem at the Talladega Superspeedway earlier today.
Forget the fact that Dale, Jr. is currently owning the track right now (well, switching off with Stewart and Johnson – it’s hard to keep up as I type this!) which in itself has me ecstatic.
