Three times in the past six days (that includes the weekend) the school nurse at my son’s elementary school has called me, and three times I’ve had to pick up my little boy from school. He’s not sick. If anything, he was a little stuffy. The first two check-outs were due to him spitting up mucus – a ritual he does every time he cries heartily or wakes up stuffy from a cold or allergies. Middle School and High School Teachers Gifts
When the kids are in elementary school, teacher gifts at holidays are pretty easy – after all, in most cases you are just buying for one teacher – but once kids get into middle school and high school, how do you even begin buying gifts for 8 teachers per kid?

Today is National Teacher Day
Think back to when you were in school, is there a teacher who inspired you, challenged you, or changed your life for the better? I’m sure there is.
How about your child’s teachers? I know my kids have been fortunate to have some wonderful teachers over the years and this week we will take some time to let them know how we really feel.
Today is the National Education Association’s (NEA) National Teacher Day. Hopefully teachers from around the country will get treated to lunch, get notes from their students, and recognition from the community for the wonderful job they do!
